The Top Gun Tennis Academy at The Tennis Club at Springhurst offers a complete tennis experience for all levels and ages. We emphasize a step-by-step approach that enables each player to achieve their goals, while emphasizing fun and fitness with players of the same age and ability.
For the younger beginner children, we utilize the new USTA Quickstart format with foam balls, low compression balls, and age appropriate nets and court sizes. For more information regarding Quickstart tennis go to www.10andundertennis.com.

“Aces” Level
Ages 10-16. Players just starting tournament level play. Players are provided match play drills in a competitive environment.
“Mavericks” Level
Ages 10-16. Players can rally and play points. Need experience in match play, ball positioning, and strategy. High emphasis on stroke production and match play drills.
“Mavericks” Level II
Ages 10-12. Players are just beginning to rally in match situations. High focus on stroke production, rally skills, and court positioning.
“Colonels”
Ages 10+. 6 week Program - Players introduced to all strokes: forehand, backhand, volleys, overheads, and serves. Players move to Mavericks II after 6 week program.
“Cadets” 60
Ages 8-10. Players CAN rally some but lack overall consistency. Emphasis on developing rallying skills, consistency, and serving. We will utilize low compression balls to enhance rallying skills.
“Cadets” 36
Ages 6-8. Players at this level have some tennis experience and are familiar with the basic concepts of the stroke and game. These players are just beginning to rally and serve. We will utilize low compression balls to enhance rallying skills.
“Rookie Racquets” Level
Ages 6-9. USTA Quickstart 6 week Program - Players introduced to all strokes: forehand, backhand, volleys, overheads, and serves. Players move to Cadets III after 6 week program.
“Tiny Tigers” Level
Ages 4-5. 6 week Program - Introduction to basics of tennis and eye- hand coordination in a fun atmosphere. This program utilizes soft sponge balls for better racquet and ball control. This program is designed for players who are brand new to tennis.

“Elite” Program & “Tournament Training” Program
Ages 8-18. The Top Gun Academy Elite Program and Tournament Training are designed to offer on court and off court competitive training for tournament players and players wanting to develop tennis as their main sport regardless of age. The "Elite"Training Program is by INVITATION ONLY! More information regarding Elite Program and Tournament Training can be obtained by contacting the Academy Director at mbrewer@springhurst.com
Jr. High Performance Group
The Jr. High Performance Program is designed for that young serious tennis players between the ages of 8-12 years of age that shows the skills, determination and developmental attributes to be a impact player. We provide a full array of training programs including video analysis, Sports Performance Training, tournament selection and overall player functions and services. This programs is by INVITATION ONLY!
